Ana Gonzales bio
Ana Gonzalez de Jorgenson grew as a child in Mexico with a family that was devoted to music. She grew up listening mostly to classical music, old boleros, as well as traditional ranchero and romantic ballads. Ana is a lover of tangos and opera, along with any dramatic performance. She began singing and learning music with her mother, she began her more intensive singing training at the age of 16 working with the famous Mexican Tenor Flavio Becerra. The musical training continued with the School of Music of the University of Guadalajara, and later in the School of Sacred Music in Toluca, Mexico. In Guadalajara and Mexico City, she was part of a variety of chamber and opera choirs. She sang with the Fort Lauderdale Symphony Chorus in the United States before moving to Southern California. She is currently performing classic Latin American songs at private occasions as a soloist. She is involved with many local initiatives and is a teacher and performer because of her passion for music and arts. Ana has also been a former member of Community Chorus of Redlands as in addition to the Inland Master Chorale and Performance Loft. Ana is privileged to have the opportunity to be able to share her love for the tradition of Latin American music. She hopes to help younger generations continue the tradition.
